January 2024
Chairman's Desk

Dear Hillsborough County Black Chamber Members,
As we bid farewell to an incredible year, I am thrilled to reflect on our first year’s achievements. Together we’ve reached a remarkable milestone of over 100 members, a testament to the strength and unity within our community.
“Let the People Speak” became more than a motto – it became a vibrant reality with events like Wine Down Wednesday, where open dialogue and shared experiences shaped our collective narrative. Our CEO Lunches provided valuable networking opportunities, fostering connections that will undoubtedly propel our members to new heights.
The TECH Committee Network Event showcased our commitment to innovation, while Grant Writing for Business and AI Office Hours empowered entrepreneurs with tools for success. CEO Lunch, a recurring highlight, allowed for meaningful exchanges and collaboration.
Looking ahead, our focus on growth continues as our newly elected executive committee members prepare the path forward in 2024 and beyond. The launch of the first official Chamber-sponsored First Friday event promises to be a catalyst for even greater community engagement. We’re dedicated to supporting local Black-owned small businesses, fortifying our ties with the community, and ensuring a thriving future for all.
Here's to an exciting journey ahead, where we deepen our impact, strengthen our bonds, and uplift the voices of our community. Together, let’s make the coming year a testament to unity, progress, and unwavering support.
Warm regards,
Joshua L. Monteiro, Esquire
