Refund and cancellations

Membership & Event Cancellation Policy

Membership benefits begin immediately upon registration. Therefore, membership dues to the Hillsborough County Black Chamber of Commerce (HCBCC) are non-refundable once processed. Refunds will only be considered if requested in writing within seven (7) calendar days of the original registration date and only if the B.L.A.C.K. Card (if issued) is returned in unused condition.

After the 7-day grace period, membership is active for (1) year, and no refunds will be issued, regardless of participation level in Chamber programs or events. Membership will auto renew on the anniversary date of registration via original payment method if still valid. If an expiring member wishes to cancel their auto-renewal membership, they must submit a written request via email to [email protected] within (3) business days prior to auto-renewal.  

HCBCC offers year-round access to valuable benefits, including:

  • Networking events

  • Business education workshops

  • Entrepreneurial resources

  • Access to our digital learning system and promotional tools

Please note: Voluntary non-participation in these offerings does not qualify for a refund.

Event Cancellation Policy

Unless otherwise stated on a specific event’s registration page, the following applies:

Individual Attendees

  • HCBCC observes a five () calendar day cancellation policy for paid event registrations.

  • To receive a full refund, written notice of cancellation must be submitted to [email protected] at least five business days before the event.

  • Substitutions are allowed with written notice at least 48 hours prior to the event.

Refunds will not be issued for:

  • No-shows

  • Travel delays

  • Illnesses

  • Missed sessions

  • Cancellations made after the event has started

Corporate Tables & Sponsorships

  • All corporate table and sponsorship sales are final and non-refundable.

  • Substitutions for corporate table attendees are allowed with 48 hours notice in writing.

Special Security Events

  • For events requiring advance security clearance, substitutions are not permitted.
